Ideas & feedback

Send a note

Something confusing, a setting you need, a stage your craft has and the presets lack. It goes straight to the team building StatusClerk — early merchants shape what gets made next.

There is no phone line and no live chat — email puts your question in front of someone who knows the code, which a scripted chat queue never would.

Security

Report a security issue

Found a vulnerability in StatusClerk or on this site? Email security@croppick.com — the security contact for every MB Croppick product, also published in /.well-known/security.txt. You will get a prompt acknowledgement, and a fix or an explanation as soon as we have one.

Please give us time to fix the problem before publishing it, and keep any merchant or customer data you may have come across to the minimum needed to demonstrate the issue. Good-faith research reported this way will not face legal action from MB Croppick.

Frequently asked

Do customers need an account to see the status?

No. The block appears on the order status page they reach from the confirmation email, whether or not they are signed in. A hosted status page behind a signed link and a lookup form (order number and email) cover everyone else.

What if a customer never approves the proof?

Reminders go out on your schedule. You can also waive the proof on that job, or switch on auto-approve after a set number of days. Auto-approve is disclosed to the customer, in the proof email and on the approval page.

Can I keep my tags and Flow automations?

Yes. Every stage change writes a tag and an order metafield, so Flow rules, saved views and your other apps see it. A tag can set a stage the other way.

What happens above 25 jobs on Free?

The 26th job is held, not lost. Upgrade, or finish a job, and it joins the queue. Jobs that are done or cancelled stop counting the moment they are.

What counts as an active job?

One open line item on an online order. A tote ordered four times is one job with quantity four. A job stops counting when it is marked done, when its line is fulfilled in Shopify, or when the order is cancelled. POS and draft orders never become jobs.

Do I have to send a proof for every item?

No. Whether an item needs a proof is a rule at three levels. The shop default is never, always, or only when a text or upload property is present. A product can override it, and on any single job you can waive the proof or ask for one. An item without a proof skips the approval step and still shows the customer its progress and expected date.

Does it change my theme or checkout?

No. The status block is a customer-account extension that inherits your store's branding and shows your own words for each stage. Nothing is customer-facing until you have previewed it on one of your own orders and switched it on.

Where is my data stored, and what happens if I uninstall?

On Cloudflare's platform, in the Eastern Europe region. It stores your stages and settings; the orders and line items it tracks, with the personalisation the customer typed; the proofs you send and their approvals; and a delivery log of counts. For the queue it keeps the customer's first name and surname initial, never their email address — that is read from Shopify at the moment an email is sent.

Uninstalling revokes access immediately; about 48 hours later Shopify sends the standard deletion signal and everything is erased.

One thing to do first: if you use fulfilment holds while a proof is pending, release them before you uninstall. Settings › Proof rules has a button, and turning the setting off does the same. Once the app is removed Shopify no longer lets it touch your orders, so any hold left behind has to be released from the order in Shopify. If any are left, the app emails you the list.
